Tottenham Hotspurs returned to winning ways after the sacking of Antonio Conte following his outburst over his players’ attitude toward winning.

Tottenham Hotspurs and Brighton match was the highlight of the weekend as both Spurs and Brighton’s managers were sent off in the match.

Roberto De Zerbi and Cristian Stellini exchanged words before kick-off. They took the argument to the pitch forcing the referee to send both managers off.

The brawl heated up between the managers in the technical area as the Seagulls felt that several refereeing decisions had gone against them during the game.

Son Heung-min in the 10th minute scored his 100th Premier League goal as Tottenham took an early lead against Brighton.

The attacker established a record with the goal. He became the first Asian to reach a 100-goal milestone in the English Premier League.

Tottenham did well in working the ball to Son on the edge of the box and the striker curls it into the top corner in the 10th minute to put the hosts ahead.

Lewis Dunk equalized for the Seagulls in the 34th minute with a massive-headed ball from a corner that found him in the far corner.

Brighton were by far the better team in this Saturday’s encounter and had two goals disallowed by the officiating team.

It was still a talking point in the game until Tottenham star man Harry Kane restored the lead for the home team in the 79th minute.

England captain Kane gave the Spurs home fans something to hold onto as his deflected shot from a pass by teammate Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg beat Brighton goalie Jason Steele.

The victory ensures that Tottenham remains in the fifth position in the Premier League with 53 points from 30 games played.

Their 5th position is a bit sacrosanct as they have played one game more than Manchester United in fourth and Newcastle United in third who have 56 points each after wins on Saturday.

During the match, especially during the manager’s alterations, Tottenham fans chanted “We want [Daniel] Levy out” and sang the name of former boss Mauricio Pochettino.

The former boss has been linked to a return to his old club following the firing of Antonio Conte over the week.

Son Heung-min’s 100th goal for Tottenham.

Brighton on the other hand have their hopes for finishing top four in the Premier League knocked as they dropped to seventh with 46 points.

Harry Kane’s winner.
