Tottenham Hotspur request for license to host Beyonce’s concert

    Tottenham Hotspur have enquired from Haringey Council for an unusual license to hold a Beyonce concert, even though tickets have already been sold. 

    The Lilywhites magnificent one-billion-pound stadium hosts several massive sporting showdown in addition to Premier League matches. 

    Spurs state-of-the-art magnificent edifice has hosted NFL games and boxing encounters with a popular bout involving Tyson Fury and Derek Chisora which went down at the stadium on the 3rd of December 2022. 

    But based on information received, a seventh musical concert has been scheduled to house a sold-out musical event by Beyonce. 

    Beyonce’s extra date basically implies that the American singer will perform on five (5) dates in May and June at the Tottenham Hotspur ground.

    Tickets for the popular side are already sold out with only the premium VIP packages still remaining, the premium packages cost over £350 per individual.

    Tottenham Hotspur can only host 16 non-football gathering in a year at the one-billion-pound ground

    The information gathered indicates that Tottenham Hotspur are allowed to hold only sixteen (16) non-football gathering in a year at the football club’s turf. 

    And the reports of a new seventh (7th) event may not have been palatable with the members of the Haringey Council. 

    A gathering however, has been set up for conversations on how to get an additional license. Tottenham are scheduled to host the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Global music superstar Wizkid in July 2023.

    In the agreement made with the Haringey Council, the North London side can only host a maximum of only six musical concerts even though they are permitted to hold 16 events not related to football.

    Several years back, in 2014, Tottenham Hotspur city rivals Arsenal lost a high court matter over the amount of concerts that can go down at the Emirates Stadium. 

    The Gunners had initially made a proposal to double the amount of musical concerts that can be held at their ground from three to six, contending that a “clear error” had been made in the earlier ruling. 

    However, Arsenal’s case was thrown out of the window and their challenge rejected.

    Daniel Levy’s focus is on increasing Tottenham Hotspur financial earnings

    The Chairman of Tottenham Hotspur, Daniel Levy is focused on increasing the earning capacity of his team’s ground and in the past week established a 15-year partnership with the stakeholders of motorsport, Formula 1.

    The contractual agreement with Formula 1 is a deal to house the world’s first in-stadium electric karting facility.

    Tottenham Hotspur on the football side of things have lost back-to-back games in all competitions losing to Sheffield United and Wolverhampton Wanderers. 

    Their loss to Wolverhampton Wanderers was the first loss recorded by the English side against Wolves at the Molineux since 2010.

    They face European heavyweights AC Milan on Wednesday at their home ground and they would be looking to recover from a first leg 1-0 loss recorded at the San Siro in Milan, Italy.
