Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid
Kylian Mbappe’s move from PSG to Real Madrid is top of the lists of transfers that have been completed by La Liga clubs in the 2024 summer transfer window.
After a bedraggled transfer saga, the French forward joined the Los Blancos on a free transfer, signing a five-year contract. PSG had attempted to stall the move by all means but could not.
The French footballing sensation was determined to join his dream club and he later switched to the La Liga club after his PSG contract expired. Mbappe’s Real Madrid move was one of the earliest transfers this summer, happening immediately after the end of the 2023-24 football season.
Luciene Agoume to Sevilla
French defensive midfielder Lucien Agoume also makes our list of top La Liga deals this summer. The 22-year-old joined Sevilla from Inter Milan for €4m. Notably, he spent the 2023-24 season with the La Liga side on loan before nailing down a permanent move following an impressive campaign.
Julian Alvarez to Atletico Madrid
Former Manchester City forward and Argentina international Julian Alvarez is among La Liga’s biggest catch in the 2024 summer transfer window. The 24-year-old, struggling for game time at Manchester City, opted to join Atletico Madrid to take up a new challenge. He is La Liga’s most expensive signing this summer, joining the Madrid-based outfit for a record €75m on a five-year contract
Conor Gallagher to Atletico Madrid
Another former Premier League player, Conor Gallagher, was also snapped by Atletico Madrid this summer. Gallagher, who fell off the pecking order under Chelsea’s new manager Enzo Maresca’s pecking order, joined Atletico Madrid on a five-year contract.
The move witnessed initial glitches and was on the verge of collapse after Samu Omorodion’s deal fail to go through. Conor Gallagher, who had traveled to Madrid for his medical was forced to return to London. However, the transfer would later go through after the two clubs agreed on a move for Joao Felix.
Gallagher’s transfer to Atletico Madrid is among the most expensive La Liga signings, he joined the club for €42m.
Dani Olmo to Barcelona
22-year-old Spain midfielder and Euro 2024 winner Dani Olmo is another top player who has joined La Liga this summer. Barcelona signed Olmo for €55m from German Bundesliga club RB Leipzig. He has penned down a six-year contract with the Catalan giants.
The top-rated midfielder was initially linked to a move to PSG, including Manchester City but finally chose to settle with Barcelona.
Sergio Gomez to Real Sociedad
Former Manchester City youngster Sergio Gomez is another top La Liga acquisition this summer. The 20-year-old is set for a new chapter with Real Sociedad in the Spanish top flight. He has signed a six-year long-term contract with the club after joining for €9m.
Orri Oskarsson to Real Sociedad

Kelechi Iheanacho to Sevilla
Nigeria international and former Manchester City forward Kelechi Iheanacho is among the top deals that have been sealed by La Liga clubs this summer. Sevilla signed the 27-year-old from Leicester on a free transfer. He has penned down a two-year contract with the six-time Europa League winners with an option of a one-year extension.
Iheanacho joined Sevilla after seven seasons with Leicester City. He was reportedly offered a new contract but turned down the offer to continue his career elsewhere.
