A Premier League player has been ordered to pay £1280 every month to his childhood lover whom he abandoned while pregnant.
In a report shared by Daily Mail, the Premier League player, whose identity is yet to be disclosed, is said to have fallen out with the girlfriend when the latter was pregnant.
He abandoned the lady and denied impregnating her. However, DNA tests proved him wrong, hence the court ordered him to emit the £1280 monthly payment to cover the lady and the baby’s upkeep.
According to close sources, the player in question went renegade after abandoning his pregnant girlfriend. He was reportedly seen on exotic and extravagant trips and luxury vacations with other women while her pregnant girlfriend was struggling to cater for herself and the unborn baby.
The genesis of his feud with his pregnant girlfriend is still unclear but reports claim everything began to fall apart between the pair at the instance of the pregnancy.
More details of the fractured relationship revealed there were times he threatened to molest the girlfriend, and this prompted the lady to apply for a non-molestation order to protect herself.
Apart from outrightly threatening to molest the lady, the player reportedly wanted to force the lady to abort the pregnancy and had grown more furious when his request was turned down.
As of the time of filing this report, the identity of the player is yet to be revealed but he is said to be a top-class player earning millions monthly and had represented his country in the 2022 World Cup.
