Treble-chasers Manchester City have been named the most valuable football club in the world after usurping Real Madrid to the summit of the rankings.

The Citizens have their eyes fixated on the final of the UEFA Champions League as they look to win the competition for the first time in their history on Saturday.

They are also seeking to win the treble for the first time in their history and the second time in the history of English football.

Having wrestled the Premier League title off Arsenal in addition to lifting the FA Cup after defeating eternal rivals Manchester United, the treble would be the icing on a perfectly made cake.

Anyway, Manchester City are now the most valuable football club in the world, 15 years after Sheikh Mansour acquired the club from former Thai prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra.
