Ahead of the Champions League encounter between Bayern Munich and Arsenal, coach Thomas Tuchel has welcomed back five first team players with only two Bayern players being expected to miss the game.

Tuchel confirmed the return of Manuel Neuer, Kingsley Coman, Leroy Sane, Noussair Mazraoui and Alex Pavlovic back to training.

Manuel Neuer has missed two previous matches for Bayern Munich due to torned muscles he had while he was training with Germany on March 2024.

The German goalkeeper took part in the Bayern Munich training and he is expected to travel to London for the Champions League encounter against Arsenal.

The availability of Neuer and Sane are significant in the game against Arsenal. Neuer had been an important player for Bayern Munich and Sane is familiar with Arsenal while he was at Manchester City.

Only Sacha Boey and Bouna Sarr are expected to miss the game against Arsenal.

Things have not gone as planned for Bayern Munich in the German Bundesliga with Bayer Leverkusen on the verge of winning the Title.

Despite not being able to capture the German Bundesliga this season, Thomas Tuchel wants to win the Champions League to end Bayern Munich’s horrible season.

Arsenal, on the other hand, will be without a long-term absentee, Jurrien Timber. Gabriel Magalhães picked up a knock in the match against Brighton.

Despite the fact that he was carried off the pitch, the Brazilian returned to the pitch to complete the 90th minute of the match against Brighton.

Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli are fully fit for the encounter against Bayern Munich after they participated in the Premier League encounter against Brighton.

Bayern Munich Will Play Against Arsenal Without The Fans

Bayern Munich’s travelling contigent for the match will be limited due to disciplinary decision made by the European governing body, UEFA. This came after the misconduct by the Bayern Munich supporters during their previous matches.

Bayern Munich CEO, Jan-Christian Dressen, reacted to the decision made by UEFA and revealed the impact it will have on both the teams and the well behaved fans.

He said “This is a very harsh decision. We had already made an urgent appeal to our supporters in December and asked them to refrain from any further pyro activities. As things stand, no fans will be able to accompany us to our next away game in Europe.”

“The team will be missing an important source of support and the fans who always behave correctly will be hit particularly hard. We have requested the reasons for the decision and are looking into the possibility of an appeal.”

What to expect in the match between Arsenal And  Bayern

The Arsenal side are currently in the form of their lives with ten wins in 11 matches. Bayern Munich on the other hand lost a two goals lead against Heidenheim in the German Bundesliga.

Arsenal are expected to defeat Bayern Munich but the reigning Champions of the Bundesliga won’t come to the Emirates Stadium without a fight.
