The Best FIFA Football Awards 2021 produced some interesting moments that football fans would not stop talking about throughout 2022. Recall that the 2021 edition of the award took place in Zurich, Switzerland on January 17, 2022. The Best Fifa Men’s Coach 2021
The manager of Chelsea football club, Thomas Tuchel was named the best male coach at the award ceremony. The 48-year-old German tactician helped Chelsea to win UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, and play in the final of the FA Cup in the 2020-2021 season despite being his first season at the Premier League club.
The Best Fifa Women’s Coach 2021
Chelsea women coach Emma Hayes was named the Best Fifa Women’s Coach 2021 at the award ceremony. The 45-year-old English tactician helped Chelsea to win the 2020-2021 FA Women’s Super League, Women’s FA Cup, and FA Women’s League Cup.
Emma Hayes has been the coach of Chelsea since 2012. She has also coached Chicago Red Stars between 2008 and 2010 and served as an assistant coach at Arsenal Ladies between 2006 and 2008.
The FIFA Men’s Player 2021
Bayern Munich striker, Robert Lewandowski was awarded the FIFA Men’s Player 2021 after a successful 2020-2021 season. The Polish striker scored 48 goals and provided 13 assists in 40 games last season which contributed to his success at the award ceremony. His effort also helped Bayern Munich to win the 2020-2021 German Bundesliga title. The transfer market value of the football star is €50 million.
The Best Fifa Women’s Player 2021
Alexia Putellas won the Best Fifa Women’s Player at the Best FIFA Football Awards 2021. The 27-year-old Spanish attacking midfielder who can also play as a winger currently plays for the FC Barcelona women team. In the 2020-2021 season, Putellas helped FC Barcelona to win UEFA Women’s Champions League, Primera División, and Copa de la Reina.
The Best Fifa Men’s Goalkeeper 2021
Chelsea goalkeeper, Edouard Mendy was named the Best Fifa Men’s Goalkeeper at the Best FIFA Football Awards 2021. The 29-year-old Senegalese goalkeeper helped Chelsea to win the 2020-2021 UEFA Champions League and UEFA Super Cup titles. His transfer market value is €32 million.
