The incident happened in Roma’s final Serie A game of the season against Spezia which they won 2-1, thanks to Dybala and Zalewski’s goals.

The 2-1 win ensured their spot in next season’s Europa League is sealed few days after they lost to Sevilla in the Europa League final.

Paulo Dybala, who also opened in the final, scored a dramatic 90th minute penalty to ensure Roma take all three points.

But this victory came with a massive cost, with their star forward Tammy Abraham getting an out-of-year injury.

In a video which was posted by Futballnews on Twitter, Abraham can be seen battling with an opponent for the ball when the unfortunate incident happened.

The England international’s leg gave way as he leaned towards the leg so hard before he slipped and fell on the pitch.

The former Chelsea player then did a 360 in mid-air as he screamed in pain.

Tammy Abraham, who has scored 9 goals for Roma this season, was unable to continue as he was taken away by a medical cart with his head in his hands.

Transfer guru Fabio Romano later took to his Twitter page to give fans a worst possible news regarding the injury.

He wrote: “Bad news for Tammy Abraham. It’s ACL injury for English striker on final game of the season with AS Roma, Sky Sport are reporting.”

“Waiting for club statement indications, Sky report that he’d be out until the end of the year, November/December.”

Such injury is likely to put an end to a possible Premier League return for Abraham, just two years after he left Chelsea for Roma.

Everton are considering signing the star as they look to secure a target man — with Wout Weghorst also a target for the club.

Manchester United have been a long-term admirers of the forward too with Aston Villa also been linked with their former loanee.

On the other hand, Chelsea have the option of re-signing him for £64million this summer thanks to an active buyback clause.

Tammy Abraham scored a total of 30 goals in 82 matches for Chelsea and helped them win the Champions League in 2021.

He was later sold to Roma by the then Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel despite his contributions to the team.

Since arriving Roma, Abraham enjoyed a thrilling first season, scoring 27 goals in all competitions for the Italian giants.

In his second season with Roma, he has only managed to score 9 goals which is raising speculations about his exit from the Serie A.
