The Tottenham ace received interest from clubs in Saudi Arabia, with Al-Ittihad believed to be favorites to signing him after landing Karim Benzema.

Son on the other hand has revealed that he wants to remain in the Premier League and “money does not matter” to him at the moment.

Son Heung-min said: “I have many things to do in the Premier League.”

“Money doesn’t matter to me now, and the pride of playing football, to play in my favourite league is important.”

“I want to play more for Tottenham.”

Recent reports have it that the South Korea international was previously approached by Al-Ittihad.

Al-Ittihad is currently coached by ex-Spurs boss Nuno Espirito Santo and is said to be preparing a £51m offer plus bonuses to Tottenham.

Recall that we reported that N’Golo Kante is also expected to join the Saudi side this summer after they signed Benzema from Madrid.

Tottenham on the other hand are not looking to accept any bid for their star player in the summer.

Son Heung-min insisting on staying at the club is a good news for Tottenham as they are on the verge of losing Hugo Lloris and Harry Kane this summer.

Son had a poor run at Spurs in the just concluded season, the South Korean only managed ten goals in 36 EPL appearances.

Son, 30, remains an important player and would be expected to play an important role under new manager Ange Postecoglou next season.

This comes just weeks after the Saudi Public Investment Fund bought a 75 per cent ownership stake in four of the country’s biggest clubs – Al-Ittihad, Al-Nassr, Al-Ahli, and Al-Hilal.
