West Ham United fans fune after the Club sell one of their key players. Fans were furious and took to the Clubs social media page to express their displeasure. West Ham United have sold Martin Samuelsen to Hull City for an undisclosed fee, as reported by the club’s official channels.
The Norway international only ever played two competitive matches for the Hammers, which both came in Europa League qualifying ties against Birkirkara during the 2015/16 campaign.
Despite the fact that he hardly featured in a claret and blue shirt, many West Ham fans are highly frustrated to see him leave.
One fan commented that “this better be a joke”, while another stated “we should be keeping young talent like Samuelsen”.
It could be the case that this feeling of frustration is strengthened by the news coming two days after it was announced that Joe Powell would be leaving permanently to join Burton Albion. The supporters had clearly been hoping that there would be far more in store for Samuelsen than the two appearances he ended up having to settle for.
The failure to fulfill his potential can arguably be summarised by the fact that his most recent game time came for FK Haugesund in the Norwegian Eliteserien, where he got six goals and four assists from 28 appearances.
