Sébastien Haller is set to leave Ajax to join Borussia Dortmund and the deal is almost complete; the two clubs have reached an agreement.
The search for Erling Haaland’s replacement at Borussia Dortmund is set to come to an end. Sebastien Haller’s transfer from the Black and Yellows to Ajax is about to be agreed upon. Fabrizio Romano claimed that BVB will pay a sum of 35 million euros, plus bonuses, to sign the 27-year-old.
The report also states that Borussia Dortmund is already making plans to fly Haller to Germany for his medical. The former Eintracht Frankfurt striker and Dortmund have already reached an understanding about personal matters, and he is expected to sign a five-year deal. The trade should become official this week, according to Sport1.
Following Erling Haaland’s transfer to Manchester City, Sebastien Haller was the player that Borussia Dortmund preferred to replace him with. In his 42 games for Ajax this season, the Ivory Coast international scored 34 goals, 11 of which came in the UEFA Champions League.
Haller will be Borussia Dortmund’s seventh new acquisition in the summer hiring period. Karim Adeyemi, Nico Schlotterbeck, Niklas Süle, and Salih zcan are just a few of the players that Sebastian Kehl, Dortmund’s new sporting director, has brought in this summer.
Borussia Dortmund’s top goal for the summer transfer window was to sign a new striker. And it appears like they will sign Haller before the players return for preseason practice the following week.
