    It was a day with not so many fireworks in terms of goals but regardless there was an outpour of dramatic actions and thrilling encounters in the English Premier League. 

    Fulham 2-1 Leeds United

    At the Craven Cottage, the Cottagers defeated the Peacocks in a pulsating game that lit up in the second half of proceedings. 

    Harry Wilson opened the floodgates in the encounter as he took Fulham ahead in the encounter and fast-forward to the 72nd minute, Andreas Pereira doubled the home side’s lead before Joao Palhinha netted an own goal to halve the deficit for Leeds. 

    Marco Silva’s side after that win moved up to 9th on Premier League table while Leeds United sit 16th, just a point away from the murky waters of relegation.

    The Bees couldn’t sting the Villains at the Gtech Community Stadium as both sides settled for a 1-1 draw on Saturday. 

    Ivan Toney netted the opener in the game to put Brentford ahead but Douglas Luiz’s finish three minute before the 90th minute pierced the hearts of the home fans. 

    Brentford due to that win sit 10th on the Premier League table while Aston Villa are placed 6th and in sight of a possible qualification to the UEFA Europa League for next season.

    Crystal Palace and Everton played out an uninspiring draw

    A closely fought affair at the Selhurst ended with both sides sharing the spoils. Both sides struggled to create enough chances that would result to a goal. 

    Everton’s Mason Holgate saw red on the 80th minute and the side from Merseyside did enough to drag the game level pegging till full time. 

    Crystal Palace sit 12th in the Premier League table with 37 points and they are closing on the traditional 40 point mark that would seal their place in the Premier League for next season. 

    Sean Dyche’s Everton are flirting with relegation as they sit on the 3rd spot from bottom in the relegation zone.

    Leicester City secured their first win under caretaker manager Dean Smith

    Dean Smith picked up his first win as manager of Leicester City defeating Wolves at the King Power Stadium. 

    The Foxes got the better of Wolves in a keenly contested affair that ended in favor of the home side. 

    Julien Lopetegui’s Wolverhampton Wanderers went ahead on the 13th minute but 24 minutes later, Nigerian International Kelechi Iheanacho brought the game to parity and Timothy Castagne secured the victory for the Foxes in the 75th minute of the game as he steered the ball into the net. 

    Dean Smith’s side has jumped out of the relegation zone due to that win and they are placed 17th on the table while their opposition would end Saturday on 13th position on the log.

    Liverpool 3-2 Nottingham Forest

    Mohammed Salah confirmed Liverpool’s victory at Anfield against Nottingham Forest

    An thrilling encounter that appeared like it was headed for a draw ended in Jurgen Klopp’s men being victorious in the evening. 

    Diogo Jota opened the floodgates in the encounter as Liverpool made an almost instant impact in the second half of proceedings. 

    Neco Williams equalised in the 51st minute before Diogo Jota doubled his tally 4 minutes later. 16 minutes later, Morgan Gibbs-White made it 2-2, dragging Nottingham Forest back once again in the game. 

    However, 3 minutes later Mohammed Salah took Liverpool in front and that rubber stamped the Reds victory on Saturday. 

    Liverpool as a result of that win are six points away from the top 4 and they sit 7th on the Premier League table. 

    For Nottingham Forest, they end the evening in the relegation zone as they sit 19th in the Premier League with 27 points gathered from 32 games.
