Premier League leaders Arsenal have come to a verbal agreement to further the existing contract of their integral attacker Bukayo Saka till June, 2028.
The North London side are expected to complete all the formalities needed for the contractual renewal in the coming days.
Arsenal would definitely be delighted by the news given how integral he has been for the Gunners since he made his debut in 2019.
The current contract of Bukayo Saka was due to end in the summer of 2024 and with the young man’s impressive form, potential suitors would come looking to acquire his services.
However, Arsenal have been handed a relief seeing that the winger has verbally pledged to continue at the north London side.

Saka has also internally made his intentions known of his desire to continue with Arsenal, a club he joined in 2008 at the tender age of seven.
The 21-year-old attacker has been menacing in attack for the Gunners as he has scored nine (9) goals in the 2022/23 Premier League season to help take Arsenal to the summit of the Premier League.
Saka’s numbers are also brilliant when it comes to assist as only Kevin De Bruyne has accrued more assists than the Englishman.
De Bruyne has twelve (12) assists while Bukayo Saka has eight (8) assists credited to his name.
The fresh contract Arsenal would be offering the English International of Nigerian descent would see him earn at least £10 million-a-year.
Futballnews understands that the new contract offer for Bukayo Saka would see him pocket home a wage in excess of £200,000-a-week, an amount which also includes bonuses.
The presently tabled offer from Arsenal would reportedly make Bukayo Saka the North London side best paid player.
Some clubs have been said to have been lurking around for the Englishman, most notably, Manchester City who have been viewing Saka’s future with the Gunners seeing his current contractual circumstances.
He has been an important force to their league title push
Arsenal chase their first league title since 2004 and Bukayo Saka has been immense to that title push which many might not have been confident about going into the 2022/23 Premier League season.
Mikel Arteta would be wanting the formalities needed for this extension to be completed quickly so as to ensure that Saka is fixated on the remaining matches of the season.
The Englishman joined Arsenal from Watford in 2008 and he is an academy graduate from the revered youth system of Arsenal.
The Winger has scored thirty-three (33) goals in one-hundred-and-sixty (162) appearances for the North London side.
