Politano also put out a statement on Instagram regarding the incident, with the 31-year-old writing:
“What happened last night is truly unfortunate, but unfortunately, this is a problem not just for Naples.”
Matteo Politano added that what has left him distraught is the loss of his wallet and he would be grateful if it could be returned to him.
Politano wrote: “What saddens me the most is that my wallet, which was gifted to me by someone very dear to me who is no longer here, was in the car… Therefore, I would be very grateful if it could be returned to me.”
