World Cup champion Ronaldo De Lima, who is regarded as the best striker to have ever played the game, claimed he has been in treatment for the past two and a half years after experiencing a lack of support for his mental health while he was playing.

The Brazilian talks extensively about both mental health and soccer in “The Phenomenon: the rise, fall, and redemption of Ronaldo,” which is available on DAZN.

In his documentary, in which he spoke only about himself, he answered a number of interview-related questions.

The ex-footballer made it known that footballers were subjected to significant emotional stress in their arena without any training for it.

Ronaldo won every trophy that was up for grabs, but the Champions League eluded him. Among his honors are two Ballon d’Ors, six Golden Boots, two FIFA World Cups, two Spanish Super Cups, two La Liga championships, two UEFA Super Cups, and numerous more awards.

But Ronaldo’s brilliant football career was cut short by repeated injuries, which caused him to miss three seasons.

During his playing career, Ronaldo—who is currently the President of the Spanish club Rayo Vallecano—was so talented that he scored 280 goals in 384 matches for the team.

    Who Is De Lima Ronaldo?

He is 46 years old as of 2022 and was born on September 18, 1976 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil as the third child of Nélio Nazário de Lima Snr. and Sônia dos Santos Barata in Rio de Janeiro.

Ronaldo dropped out of school to pursue a career in football immediately after his parents’ divorced when he was 11 years old.

The ex-player is a businessman who also owns the Brasileiro Série B team Cruzeiro and was a striker in his professional football career.

He is 1.83 meters tall (6ft and 0inch). He joined Sao Cristovao in 1990 to begin his football career, and he departed the team in 1993. After returning to Brazil to play for Corinthians, where he scored 29 goals in 52 games, he announced his retirement in 2011.

Because of his style of football, ability to evade defenders, and, to top it up, his goal scoring prowess, many hail him as the greatest of all time.

No player from the current generation has the ability to break those records. He would have amassed more goals in Brazil’s history if not for the injuries he suffered early in his career.
