The 2023 Ballon d’Or award is obviously a two-horse race between Lionel Messi of Inter Miami and Erling Haaland of Manchester City.
Kylian Mbappe of PSG has also been backed to win the award but he is down the pecking order compared to Messi and Haaland.
Reports from multiple sources have revealed Messi is a clear favorite to win the award for the 8th time in his career but all fingers are still crossed until October, 30, 2023 when the winner will be crowned.

Brazil football legend and two-times winner of Ballon d’Or, Ronaldo delima, has thrown his weight behind Lionel Messi to win the 2023 Ballon d’Or award.
In a quote shared by Sportskeeda, Ronaldo delima said;
“The Ballon d’Or should go to Lionel Messi without a doubt
“What Messi did in the World Cup was special. It reminded me of the campaigns of Pelé and Maradona.”
Lionel Messi scored 21 goals and provided 20 assists in 41 games in the year in question. He also won the World Cup, French Super Cup and Ligue 1 title.
Erling Haaland scored 52 goals in 53 appearances and won Champions League, Premier League, and FA Cup with Manchester City.
Haaland is still considered a potent challenger for the award but Ronaldo believes Messi deserves the award more than the Norwegian due to his unparalleled legacy in the sport.
