Robert Lewandowski has stated that he is not interested in joining any other club this summer other than Barcelona.
As of right now, there is no chance for any other clubs to sign Robert Lewandowski because he wants to play for Barcelona. He understands that reaching an agreement with Bayern is still difficult, but has FC Barcelona to wait for.
The Bayern Munich striker resumed his rant against the Bundesliga winners by pleading for a release and urging players not to join the club as he tries to persuade them to trade him with a year remaining on his contract.
Chelsea, Manchester United, and Paris Saint-Germain have all been connected with Lewandowski, but the Barcelona legend has now declared that he wants to join the Catalan club.
“I have not considered any offer other than that of Barcelona,” he told Onet Sport.
“I want to leave Bayern. Something died in me and I want more emotions in my life. A way out is the best solution for both parties.”
Bayern Munich have maintained that Lewandowski will not be available this summer, promising to keep him even if it meant losing him on a free transfer in 2023, but president Herbert Hainer has expressed his displeasure with the striker’s decision to make his displeasure public.
This most recent outburst from Lewandowski took place before that interview. It is clear that Lewandowski is going to force his way out of Bayern this summer.
Xavi, the manager of Barcelona, is eager to sign Lewandowski this summer; but, in addition to the problem of persuading Bayern to sell him, the Catalan club must also overcome financial obstacles in order to do so.
The transfer budget isn’t especially large, and Barcelona is already facing the need to cut their squad after securing the free transfers of Andreas Christensen and Franck Kessie, so players would have to depart before new ones could join.
