Florentino Perez will reportedly not accede to the request of French President Emmanuel Macron to release Kylian Mbappe for the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics.

Mbappe has in recent months indicated his interest in being part of the Mundial, even though he will represent France at the 2024 European Championship.

Kylian Mbappe is expected to join Real Madrid this summer, and Los Blancos want him to get going quickly without any distractions whatsoever.

Mbappe is the face of French football and even by a stretch the face of sport in the European nation, and as such, Macron wants him to be a part of the Summer Olympics.

Real Madrid have apparently defined their position with Kylian Mbappe, maintaining that the attacker must choose between playing in the European Championship or at the Olympics.

Does Kylie Mbappe Want To Play At The 2024 Summer Olympics?

Mbappe wants to be part of both tournaments, as he aims for more international glory with France, having previously won the FIFA World Cup and UEFA Nations League.

Reports indicate that Real Madrid president, Perez, does not want to release the 25-year-old for the Olympics due to the influence Emmanuel Macron had in derailing Kylian Mbappe’s move to the Spanish side in 2022.

France will be banking on the brilliance of the AS Monaco man at the 2024 European Championship, with the country gunning for their 3rd title in history.

Definitely, Les Blues will have to battle through intense competition from several top nations if they are to win the competition.

France are also aiming to win their 2nd gold medal in football at the Olympics, having finished as runners-up in Paris in the 1900 edition.

They clinched gold in the 1984 Summer Olympics hosted by Los Angeles and certainly, there is no better time to pick up the gold medal than on home soil.
