Football fans have reacted to a now-viral footage shared by Lamine Yamal of his Spain teammate going naked in the dressing room.
In the footage, the young footballer, who just turned 17, went live on Instagram, celebrating Spain’s Euro 2024 final victory over England at the Olympiastadion.
Players in the footage were trying to change from their Spain national team jerseys after the match. Some had no clothes on at all while others were trying to undress.
A barrage of reactions have trailed the video as football fans air their views on the controversial footage.
A fan wrote, “Bro, just won one trophy and started misbehaving.”
Another fan wrote, “People just get naked in these dressing rooms?”

While Lamine Yamal’s video has generated negative reactions, the footage sheds light on how footballers interact in the locker room.
Some players such as Morata were seen happily partaking in the footage without qualms. This shows the spirit of comradeship and common understanding among the players. However, it is pertinent to note that locker room footage, showing nudity, like the Yamal clip, could breach common norms of decency among fans, hence sparking reaction.
Lamine Yamal contributions to Spain’s 2024 Euro final triumph
Once again, the young footballer was in the spotlight throughout the tournament with his brilliant performances. He started all of La Roja’s games, scored one goal, and delivered 4 assists. His one goal in the tournament was a record-breaker, making him the youngest player to score in a major international tournament at the age of 16, 364 days, breaking the record held by Brazil legend, Pele.
In the final against England, Lamine Yamal set up Nico Williams for Spain’s opening goal against the Three Lions. After the match, he was crowned the best Young Player of the tournament.
Reacting to the award, the footballing sensation described it as the best birthday gift he would have asked for, adding it is a dream come true.
“This is the best (birthday) gift I could have asked for. It’s a dream come true,” Yamal said. “It got tough when they tied the score, but I don’t know what this team is made of because we always fight back.”
Yamal became the youngest player to appear at the European Championship, the youngest to score in the tournament, and the youngest to play in a final. He finished with four assists and one goal in his debut European Championship.
The 17-year-old will hope to continue his prolific career after the Euro triumph. He was the youngest footballer to play in the tournament and has been tipped to dominate the game in the years to come.
Rodri wins Best Player of the Euro 2024
Spain and Manchester City midfielder Rodri was awarded the best player of the Euro 2024. Rodri played six matches for La Roja in the tournament. He was subbed off in the final due to an apparent injury but had been an integral part of the team throughout the tournament.
Reacting to the award, the Man City sensation described it as the best day of his career while expressing optimism on the prospects of the team.

Spain are now the most successful team in Europe, with most European titles (4). Before the triumph at Olympiastadion, La Roja were tied with tournament hosts, Germany, on three Euro titles before finally breaking the tie on Sunday, July 15.
