Qatari Sheikh Jassim Bin Hamad Al-Thani is closing in on Manchester United takeover ahead of his rival Sir Jim Ratcliffe.
The billionaire investor is reportedly ready to launch a second bid for Manchester United.
Manchester United had issued a 10-day ultimatum for potential new owners of the club to launch a second offer for the club as the Glazers prepare to exit the reins after over a decade in control
The two bidders have submitted their first offers for Manchester United takeover and have given a summary of their bids and planned investment priorities when assuming the reins as new owners.

After Sheikh Al-Thani and Sir Jim Ratcliffe tabled their offers for Manchester United takeover, the club had delayed feedback to the bidders.
However, recently it announced a two-week presentation inviting interested parties to attend the presentation which was designed to explore ways of closing funding gaps and highlighting major virgin areas for investments untouched by takeover offers.
Both Al-Thani and Jim Ratcliffe were invited to the takeover presentation at Old Trafford, including other interested parties.
However, it was still unclear when they will attend the occasion.
Now, it has been confirmed the Qatari bidder for the club’s takeover has sent a high-power delegation to the Manchester United takeover presentation.
The delegation consisting of representatives of the frontrunner in the Manchester United takeover race, Sheikh Jassim Bin Hamad Al-Thani, arrived at Old Trafford for the presentations on Thursday.
They reportedly held positive talks on arrival with Manchester United officials which lasted for hours before hitting the Carrington training base for the presentation.
The talks lasted for about 10 hours and was cordial and friendly with an emphasis on gray areas for investments and the financial needs of the club.
The Glazers family were reportedly absent. The negotiators focus on the financial picture and demands of the club.
The delegation was also taken around the iconic theatre of dreams for a perfect grasp and profiling of investment needs.
Jassim Al-Thani ready to submit a second bid for Manchester United takeover
Al-Thani is ahead of his rival Sir Jim Ratcliffe in the Manchester United takeover race. After sending the high-power delegation to Old Trafford for the presentation, Sheikh Al-Thani is now ready to submit a new offer for the club in line with Manchester United’s 10-day ultimatum to all bidders to submit their second offer for the club.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe is yet to register his presence in the presentation. However, it is unclear whether that could affect his chances of beating his Qatari rivals to the ownership of the club.
There are reports he will speak with Manchester United executives today, a day after his Sheikh Jassim Bin Hamad Al-Thani’s delegation arrived.
From the forgoing, the much-anticipated transition of ownership may likely take place on or before the end of the season as planned by the Glazers.
