Premier League 2022/2023 season is about to start, and any of the Big Six teams could have a better season than last year and end up winning the league.

Premier League Season Preview: Who will win the EPL?

The question in the mind of most football enthusiasts is would the arrival of new strikers like Erling Haaland of Manchester City and Darwin Nunez of Liverpool, help Manchester City and Liverpool maintain their high standards of domination or find a new gear?

The important elements are all examined below, along with the likelihood that each team will finish in the top four and one will win the Premier League.

We examine significant recent additions and departures, as well as the philosophies of these teams, among other things.

    Manchester City

    Premier League winning odds: -150

Odd to finish in top 4: -9000

Key new signings: Erling Haaland (Borussia Dortmund), Stefan Ortega Moreno (Arminia Bielefeld), Kalvin Phillips (Leeds)

The head coach is Pep Guardiola. The fact that City spends the most and other major teams want to act as though they don’t spend at all is the only reason he isn’t hailed as the greatest Premier League manager of all time.

There is no greater manager in the world than Diego Simeone or, for the time being, Jurgen Klopp when it comes to putting a system in place which is what Guardiola has done at City.

    Liverpool

    Premier League winning odds: +250

Odd to finish in top 4: -1100

Key new signings: Fabio Carvalho (Fulham), Darwin Nunez (Benfica), Calvin Ramsay (Aberdeen)

The gaffer: Jurgen Klopp, who combines charisma, bravery, and glory in one person and is always looking for more of the latter. The main uncertainty surrounding Klopp is how, despite being a clear favorite who has made significant investments at every position, will he be able to play the “underdog without resources” card.

    Chelsea

    Premier League winning odds: +1400

Odd to finish in top 4: -150

Key new signings: Eddie Beach, Raheem Sterling (Manchester City), Kalidou Koulibaly (Napoli), Omari Hutchinson (Arsenal)

Thomas Tuchel, the gaffer — Even if there will be some sympathy for Roman Abramovich’s drawn-out exit holding up player retention when it comes to Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger, there won’t be a European Cup honeymoon this season.

Tuchel is a fantastic manager who has achieved great things at many prestigious teams, but blaming Romelu Lukaku (and perhaps Timo Werner) for his fanatical loyalty to the formation of his front three means the veterans and newcomers must score more goals this year.

    Tottenham Hotspur

    Premier League winning odds: +1200

Odd to finish in top 4: -155

Key new signings: Ivan Perisic (Inter Milan), Fraser Forster (Southampton), Yves Bissouma (Brighton), Richarlison (Everton), Tyrell Ashcroft (Reading), Josh Keeley (St. Patrick’s Athletic), Clement Lenglet (Barcelona), Djed Spence (Middlesbrough)

Antonio Conte: Do you have to work somewhere for a very long time to be considered the best manager in the world? Because the Italian may claim to have won more, more frequently, and in more locations than anybody else.

There will be no disputing Conte’s standing in the rarest of air if he wins English accolades with Spurs this year (and his altitude may already be irrefutably high).

    Arsenal

    Premier League winning odds: +2500

Odd to finish in top 4: +190

Key new signings: Marquinhos (Sao Paulo), Fabio Vieira (Porto), Matt Turner (New England Revolution), Gabriel Jesus (Manchester City), Oleksandr Zinchenko (Manchester City)

Mikel Arteta is bringing over talent from Man City’s Etihad Stadium, and he has certainly learned a lot from Pep Guardiola. But can the fierce, raven-haired Arteta transition from student to teacher? Given that Arsenal has lost its previous four games and has a record of 1W-5L under Arteta and Guardiola, a significant change would be required (two of them lopsided).

    Manchester United

    Premier League winning odds: +3300

Odd to finish in top 4: +135

Key new signings: Tyrell Malacia (Feyenoord), Christian Eriksen (free), Lisandro Martinez (Ajax)

Erik ten Hag will be given some time to implement his plan because he is ruthless and meticulous.

The Red Devils haven’t had this kind of time in a long time—some may even argue that it’s been longer, depending on how you look at the ex-coach of the club, Jose Mourinho’s plans for the team.
