The Premier League football clubs have put forward a list of their players that have been released or will be leaving the club as free agents ahead of next season.
A total of 222 players have been released by the football clubs. The newly released football players will be looking forward to moving to other clubs when the transfer window begins.
These are the Premier League Best XI free agent players.
Goalkeeper
Loris Karius
The former Liverpool goalkeeper has been released by Newcastle. His last appearance for Newcastle happened on February 24, 2024, against Arsenal, which ended in a 4-1 defeat.
Defenders
Brandon Williams
Willams was one of the eight Manchester United players released by the INEOS as they look to trim the Manchester United squad ahead of next season.
He will be looking forward to joining the newly promoted Premier League side, Ipswich Town, as a free agent.
Joel Matip
The big Cameroonian, who was one of the bedrocks of the Liverpool defense under Jurgen Klopp, had followed the German manager out of the Liverpool exit door.
Matip is currently being linked with a free transfer move to Premier League side, Bournemouth.
Thiago Silva
The Brazilian announced at the end of the season that he had drawn down the curtain on his career at Stamford Bridge after a four-year stay at the club.
The 39-year-old defender won the Champions League, the FIFA Club World Cup, and the Super Cup with the Blues.
He had returned to Fluminense and will be playing in the Brazilian League next season.
Raphael Varane
Manchester United failed to extend Varane’s contract to allow him to stay at the club for another year. His £350,000 wage was seen as too much by the Manchester United bosses.
Varane will be searching for a new club ahead of next season. He has been linked with a move to the Major League Soccer and the Middle East Football teams.
Ryan Sessegnon
The England international suffered injuries occasionally, which halted his success on the pitch after he moved from Fulham to Tottenham Hotspur in 2019.
Sessegnon played just two matches under Ange Postecoglou last season and he is now a free agent.
Midfielder
Thiago Alcantara
The player was seen as the final piece in the puzzle when he joined Liverpool in 2020 from Bayern Munich. Alcantara’s first two seasons at Liverpool saw him play largely without injury.
He suffered a hip injury in May 2024. Thiago featured just once for Liverpool last season. There are rumors that the player might fancy a move to the MLS.
Adam Lallana
The English man moved from Liverpool to Brighton in 2020. His move to the Brighton side brought a lot of experience to the midfield of the club.
After four years with Brighton, the midfielder is set to move to Southampton ahead of next season.
Willian
Willian returned to his previous form after joining Fulham in 2022 from Brazilian side Corinthians. He had been released by the Fulham Football Club after just two years at the club.
Ivan Perisic
The Croatian was signed by Tottenham Hotspur as a wingback from Inter Milan. Perisic was brought into the Tottenham squad to improve their winning mentality due to his experience.
His performances for Tottenham Hotspur were limited after the club parted ways with Antonio Conte. He will be joining Croatian side, Hadjuk Split, next season.
Striker
Anthony Martial
The French international joined Manchester United from Monaco in 2015 for a transfer fee worth £36 million. The transfer fee would have increased to £58 million if he had won the Ballon d’Or.
Martial failed to establish himself as a top striker or a left winger at Manchester United. He left the Red Devils with 90 goals and 47 assists in his 317 appearances for the club.
