Neymar has reportedly sent a stern warning to Brazilian players at Real Madrid, informing them of what it feels like to play with Kylian Mbappe.

    Kylian Mbappe And Neymar

Neymar and Mbappe were teammates at Paris Saint Germain between 2017 and 2023, with the pair regularly being at loggerheads, according to reports.

The pair featured in 136 matches together and claimed several trophies, including; 4 Ligue 1 titles and 3 Coupe de France.

Reports claim that Neymar has described playing with Kylian Mbappe as “hell” and “catastrophic”, apparently warning his Brazilian colleagues of what to expect when dealing with the captain of France.

Neymar and Mbappe formed part of an attacking trio with Lionel Messi for two seasons but the pair reportedly don’t have fond memories of playing together.

    Kylian Mbappe At Real Madrid

Kylian Mbappe, who joined Los Blancos on a free transfer in the summer of 2024, has featured in the attacking department of Real Madrid alongside Brazilian duo Vinicius Jr and Rodrygo Goes.

Mbappe has made 6 competitive appearances for Los Merengues since joining the club, scoring 4 goals and providing no assists in all competitions.

Despite the seamless working relationship currently existing between the forward men at Real Madrid, Neymar reportedly took time to outline to his international teammates what playing with Mbappe is like.

French journalist Cyril Hanouna expressed that Neymar contacted the Brazilian contingent at Real Madrid to tell them about the French star.

Speaking on Europe 1, Hanouna said: “The Brazilians [at Real Madrid] are friends with Neymar. It has always been a war between Neymar and Mbappe.

“Neymar has sent a paper about Mbappe to the Brazilians, telling them that it was catastrophic, that it was hell.”

Neymar Scolds Brazilian Media Outlet For Praising Kylian Mbappe

Recall in April 2024, Neymar, the all-time top scorer of the Brazil national team, scolded a Brazilian media outlet for praising Kylian Mbappe.

The Brazilian football page lauded Mbappe on Instagram, highlighting his positive side and character amid controversies during his spell at PSG.

They made a post spotlighting the attacker’s focus on achieving success and depicted him as one, who is misrepresented in the media.

The post included a caption that read: “Mbappe is once again showing he is a good guy, the victim of a poorly told story… people confuse a guy who wants to win everything with a bad person.”

Neymar subsequently replied to the post with a comment which reads: “gringo ball sucker”, sharing his disapproval over how the Frenchman was portrayed.

    Real Madrid

Real Madrid currently enjoy the services of several Brazilian players, namely Eder Militao, Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo, and Endrick.

Los Blancos presently occupy the 3rd spot in La Liga, having amassed 11 points from their opening 5 matches this campaign, winning 3 games and drawing 2.

Vinicius Junior and Kylian Mbappe were on target for Real Madrid in the last league outing, as they secured a 2-0 win away to Real Sociedad on September 14, 2024.

Is Neymar Back From His Injury Layoff?

Meanwhile, Neymar is still unavailable for action due to a cruciate ligament injury which he sustained in a clash involving Brazil and Uruguay in October 2023, a qualification encounter for the 2026 FIFA World Cup to be held in the United States of America, Canada and Mexico.

Anyway, the Brazil international is closing in on a return to action and there are indications that the Al Hilal man could be back before the end of 2024.
