Cristiano Ronaldo joined Real Madrid from Manchester United in July 2009 for a then-world-record fee of €94 million.

The 39-year-old had a successful spell at the club, winning several trophies alongside individual honors.

Ronaldo won 4 UEFA Champions League titles during his time at the club, alongside 2 La Liga titles and 4 FIFA Club World Cups, amongst others.

Speaking about Kylian Mbappe on his UR . Cristiano YouTube channel, Ronaldo pointed out that Los Merengues have a great coach and president, and as such, the ex-Paris Saint Germain man will do well at the Madrid-based club.

    Kylian Mbappe

Mbappe joined Real Madrid on a free transfer this summer, following the expiration of his contract with Paris Saint Germain in June 2024.

Kylian Mbappe netted on his competitive debut for the club, helping them secure the 2024 UEFA Super Cup title.

However, he started the league season in a shaky manner, but he appears to have finally kicked into gear, having scored a brace in a match day 4 encounter involving Carlo Ancelotti’s side and Real Betis on September 1, 2024.

Mbappe scored a delightful goal to open the scoring in the game, before doubling the lead for Real Madrid via a penalty.

Despite putting up impressive displays, he had failed to score in their first three matches of the 2024/25 La Liga campaign and fans were beginning to indicate skepticism over his inability to find the back of the net.

Ronaldo Hails Real Madrid As The Best Club In The History Of Football

Meanwhile, Cristiano Ronaldo also spoke highly about Real Madrid, countering the notions of individuals who claim that Los Blancos are lucky in the UEFA Champions League whilst also saying that the Spanish side is the best club in the “history of football.”

Ronaldo said: “Real Madrid? People say that they are lucky in the UCL but… no, they are not lucky. It’s just the best club in the history of football”.

“At the Bernabéu, there’s a different kind of aura.”

Cristiano Ronaldo Names Four Players Who Could Win The Ballon d’Or Award In The Coming Years

Additionally, Cristiano Ronaldo also aired his thoughts on four players he feels could win the Ballon d’Or award in the coming years.

On September 4, 2024, Ronaldo was left out of the 30-man Ballon d’Or shortlist for the second straight time.

The Portugal international last won the prestigious honor in 2017 and took the second and third spot in the final power rankings in 2018 and 2019, respectively.

Given the absence of players like Ronaldo, Messi, Luka Modric and Karim Benzema from the 30-man players nominated, a first-time winner is guaranteed to emerge.

Cristiano Ronaldo tipped Real Madrid’s duo of Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Jr alongside Manchester City’s Erling Haaland and, surprisingly, Lamine Yamal of Barcelona.
