Manchester United legend and former midfielder Paul Scholes took a swipe at two Man United players for using hoods during training session in Carrington.

The Premier League legend shares no love lust with the current United team and has not spared the hints with his brutal assessment of the team and players.

Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo seemed to have irked the United legend when they decided to cover up with hoods in a rainy training session at Carrington – their first training session after 2-2 draw with Liverpool in the Premier League.

In a now-deleted post on his Instagram Story, Scholes lashed out at the two players for undermining training standards by wearing hoods in training.

In a cheeky but scolding tone, the former footballer insists the duo cannot train effectively with their unnecessarily flamboyant regalia of hoods and cover-ups.

He wrote;

“Don’t mind hats and gloves but no way can you train properly with your hood up… standards begin on the training pitch… bye!”

Manchester United have struggled this season, and are on the brink of not making the Champions League spot.

However, Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo, who earned the criticism of Scholes for their strange wear to the training session, have been standout performers for the team this season.

Garnacho has 7 goals and 3 assists in 29 Premier League appearances for the club this season. Kobbie Mainoo has enjoyed a successful and sensational breakout into Man United first team this season. He has scored 2 goals in 17 Premier League appearances and has earned widespread acclaim for his mature and composed performances for the team at 18.
