    Paul Pogba will be 34 when the ban comes to an end, with the suspension running until August 2027, having been dated back to August 23, 2023, when he failed the drug test following Juventus’ 0-3 victory over Udinese.

    The 31-year-old subsequently claimed that he was innocent and that he would appeal the punishment heaped on him.

    He said: “I am sad, shocked and heartbroken that everything I have built in my professional playing career has been taken away from me.

    “When I am free of legal restrictions the full story will become clear, but I have never knowingly or deliberately taken any supplements that violate anti-doping regulations.

    “As a professional athlete, I would never do anything to enhance my performance by using banned substances and have never disrespected or cheated fellow athletes and supporters of any of the teams I have played for or against.

    “As a consequence of the decision announced today, I will appeal this before the Court of Arbitration for Sport.”

    There is currently no update on his appeal and it appears Pogba is willing to serve the full length of the suspension or get it reduced to two years.

    Pogba has taken his case to the Court of Arbitration for Sports and his fans are definitely still hoping for positive news in the coming weeks or months, depending on how long the matter is adjudicated.
