Paul Pogba started the Premier League game from the bench when Liverpool have already scored 4 goals. He replaced Mason Greenwood in the 46th minute.

Six minutes after his introduction into the game, Mohamed Salah scored his 3rd goal of the match and Liverpool’s 5th.

Fortunately for Pogba, his challenge on Naby Keita ended his stay in the game in the 60th minute. His absence in the game did not result in more goals against Manchester United.

Days after the game, a British publication, The Sun, reported that after the game, Paul Pogba apologized to his teammates for his red card offense but failed to speak to coach Solskjaer.

The report also alleged that Pogba stalled negotiation of his contract extension after the 5-0 defeat at the hands of Liverpool. Recall that Pogba’s contract with the club will expire on June 30, 2022.

When the footballer saw the report of the Sun, he tagged the report as fake news, noting that the report was “big lies to make headlines”.

After the Liverpool game, it was reported that most Manchester United players revolted against coach Solskjaer and were no longer loyal to him.

It was also reported that the club’s board is considering replacing him before January 2022 but nothing official about his replacement yet.

A recent report claimed that Manchester United are not planning to sack the coach but the former coach of Inter Milan, Antonio Conte has been lined up as Solskjaer’s replacement.

The Italian coach has reportedly said he would be willing to coach Manchester United but nothing official yet as of the time of publishing this report.
