Manchester United interim manager, Ralf Rangnick has confirmed that the club’s central midfielder, Paul Pogba might not feature for the club again this season due to an injury he is currently battling with.
Recall that Pogba was forced out of the Premier League game between Manchester United and Liverpool on April 19, 2022, due to an injury worry. Recall that on the said date, Liverpool bashed Manchester United 4-0 to push United down to the 6th spot with 54 points in 33 games.
Since then, Paul Pogba has been receiving medical attention. Unfortunately, the medical team could not do enough to make him available for United’s game against Arsenal which is scheduled to take place on Saturday, April 26.
Ahead of the Premier League game which will kick off at 12:30 at the Emirates Stadium, coach Ralf Rangnick revealed that Pogba will be out for four weeks.
Based on that, Pogba is not likely to return before May 22 when Manchester United are expected to play their last Premier League game of the season which will be against Crystal Palace.
Coach Rangnick said: “Paul, as it seems after the scan we did, it’s very unlikely he will play until the end of the season.
“The doctor told me it will take four weeks minimum for him to recover. Since the last game is the end of May, I don’t think it is very likely he will be able to play again.”

What is the stats of Paul Pogba at Manchester United?
Paul Pogba has been playing for Manchester United’s first team since he returned to the club from Juventus on August 9, 2016, for a transfer fee worth United’s record €105 million.
Since then, the French midfielder has scored 39 goals and provided 51 assists in 233 games in all competitions. The major titles he helped United to win since he returned to United were two league cups and one Europa League.
So far in the 2021-2022 season, Paul Pogba has managed to play 27 games in all competitions in which he scored a goal and provided nine assists.
The 2018 FIFA World Cup winner has until June 30, 2022, before his contract expires. Initially, Manchester United were making efforts to renew his stay at the club but were unwilling to double Pogba’s salary which was what the Frenchman has been demanding.
Hence, the 4-0 defeat Manchester United suffered at the hands of Liverpool on April 19, 2022, could be Pogba’s last game for Manchester United if the club and the Frenchman fail to reach an agreement before July 1, 2022.
Amid the contract tussle between Pogba and Manchester United, most fans of the club have lost faith in the player, especially this season when United are struggling to finish in the top four. The fans even booed him after a Premier League game this season.
