He has been given three days to counter the evidence of the test or face a possible ban which could last for two to four years.

The investigation is ongoing and it is not clear when a decision will be made. If Paul Pogba is found guilty, he could face a significant ban, which would be a major blow to his career.

It is important to note that these are just allegations at this stage and Pogba has not been found guilty of anything. He is entitled to the presumption of innocence.

The former Manchester United midfielder will be expected to counter the report in three days but he currently stands suspended from all football-related activities.

A guilty verdict may deal a final blow to his career as he could find it hard to pull a comeback to elite level performance if banned for two or four years from the doping scandal.
