Liverpool finally beat the resilience of the visitors to hit their third goal with Mo Salah on target after a set piece.

Interestingly, all Liverpool’s three goals came from set pieces while Nottingham Forest pulled an astonishng comeback attempts, replying with countergoals but were finally overwhelmed by the Reds as they failed to level Liverpool’s last strike in the five-goal thriller.

Meanwhile, Neco Williams and Morgan Gibbs-White had already caught the attention of fans when they recreated a controversial goal celebration at Anfield after Neco Williams opener for the Tricky Trees.

Note that Williams nursed his career in the Liverpool Academy. After he scored the first equaliser against his former team, he refused to celebrate rasing his hands – a sign of respect for his former team.

However, his teammate Morgan Gibbs-White, who assisted his goal and scored Nottingham Forest’s second, ran to him and shared a romantic kiss with him.

The kiss was a recreation of Gary Neville and Paul Scholes smooch in 2010 during a Premier League clash against Manchester City.

Neco Williams and Morgan Gibbs-White sparked reactions when they recreated the incident at Anfield.

Reacting to the footage, a fan, vvs.r0ckstar wrote, “Gay.”

Another fan, gzuswalks wrote, “straight men kissing men is a normal thing in the UK? Serious question because I have seen it a lot on like Love Island and other sh*ts like that.”

y.qud also seems to blast the players describing them as “irregular human beings” with strange behavior.

Neco Williams and Morgan Gibbs-White led Nottingham Forest’s spirited fight against the Reds but seems to err on the side as some fans who thought their ‘kiss goal celebration” is out of order.

The undertones of homosexuality seems not to sit well with the fans but such sentiments runs off football’s campaign on non-discrimination across all divides.

Moreover, the sublime goal celebration by the two players had nothing to do with their sexuality.

Morgan Gibbs-White is dating Britney De Villiers, a 22-year-old South African African lawyer, model and content creator. He started dating Villiers in 2020 and the relationship have grown in leaps and bounds but they are yet to tie the knot.

His Nottingham Forest teammate, Neco Williams, has been confirmed as straight although he is yet to enter into a relationship.

Nottingham Forest are still languishing in the relegation waters after the defeat.

They are 19th on the Premier League table with 27 points from 32 games and will face Brighton on Wednesday as the fight to survive relegation continues.
