Neymar’s Al Hilal has made history in the realm of football after an incredible season, celebrating their success at the Kingdom Arena stadium.

The Saudi club Al Hilal, led by head coach Jorge Jesus and president Fahad Bin Saad Bin Nafel, celebrated their historic season with fans at Kingdom Arena.

The team made headlines by winning 34 consecutive games between September and April, earning a place in the Guinness World Records for the most consecutive men’s association football victories.

Not only did they get this massive recognition from Guinness, but they also secured the 2023-24 Saudi Pro League title.

During the celebrations, Brazilian superstar Neymar, who joined the club for €90 million last summer, posed with the iconic certificate in the players’ lounge.

Despite playing only five matches due to injury, Neymar proudly wore Al Hilal’s Blue jersey and a white cap as he smiled at the camera.

Guinness World Records Official Adjudicator, Kanzy Defrawy described the moment of Al Hilal’s official recognition as electrifying.

Kanzy Defrawy said: “The moment of official recognition was electrifying, igniting a wave of euphoria throughout the stadium.”

Al Hilal achieved their 28th consecutive victory in March, defeating Al-Ittihad 2-0 and surpassing the previous record of 27 held by Welsh club The New Saints in 2016.

However, the team’s impressive winning streak, spanning four competitions, was halted on 17 April as they suffered a 4-2 defeat to Al Ain in the first leg of the AFC Champions League semi-finals.

Despite this setback, the team managed to remain undefeated domestically and clinched the league title with three games remaining, finishing with a remarkable 96 points; 14 points ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr.

Last month, Al Hilal won their 4th Saudi Super Cup, securing their second trophy of the season after defeating Al Nassr and Al Ittihad in the four-team tournament.

Al Hilal coach Jorge Jesus believes that this season could be the best in the club’s 66-year history, attributing this success to the immense talent in the squad and the strong sense of unity among the players both on and off the field.

Jorge Jesus said: “The season has been arguably the best in the club’s 66-year history.”

At the start of the season, Al Hilal proudly showcased their acquisition of top players from various prominent European clubs who have been instrumental to the team’s success, including Rúben Neves for €55 million, Aleksandar Mitrović for €52 million, Malcom for €60 million, Sergej Milinković-Savić for €40 million, and Kalidou Koulibaly for €23 million.

Jorge Jesus added: “The credit goes to the immense talent within the squad and the incredible sense of unity that transcends both on and off-field interactions.”

With a total of 68 official trophies under their belt, Al Hilal stands as the most successful club in Asia.

What’s next for Neymar and Al Hilal?

Al Hilal have the chance to add to their tally and potentially secure a domestic treble by emerging victorious in the upcoming King Cup final against Al Nassr today, Friday, May 31st.

The match will take place at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium with kick-off set at 7 p.m.
