Eagle-eyed football fans have drawn out a new similarity and identity of masked Premier League singer, Dide.
Dide sparked reactions when he released a hit rap song video titled ‘Thriller.’
Thriller was indeed a thriller with great lyrics punctuated with a great sound. The lines in the lyrics were also an attention-grabber.
Dide, who described himself as a footballer on the pitch and singer at home, invested a lot into his musical arts. His choice of words was a perfect soul-healer.
Thriller is Didie’s debut music video and he got the fans thinking with his expressly unrevealing video setting.
Going solo, the rapper wrapped his video in dark scenes and less revealing transitions. He was masked and gave nothing away as to who he was.
Whether it was a tactic to piqued the interest of fans and market his work or simply to hide his identity, Dide won.
Since the video surfaced online, fans have been guessing the particular footballer behind such a great rap song that has turned out to be a hit.
Making references to the features and structures in the video, some fans opined the video was set in London with one of the players of any of the London club being the voice behind the mask.
With lyrical lines such as “we keep winning” and “stay fighting,” some fans were already suggesting Dide, the masked musician, could be an Arsenal player.
Eddie Nketiah was already lined up in the guesses with some fans saying the anagram ‘Dide’ is more synonymous with Eddie Nketiah so the masked player must be the Arsenal youngster.
Now, another footballer has been suggested as the voice behind the masked musician.
This time, it is not a Premier League player but a Championships player, Sheji Ojo, who is plying his trade with Cardiff City.
Ojo was nursed in the Liverpool Academy and made his debut for the Premier League club in 2015.
He spent seven years at Anfield but could only manage 8 appearances for the club and has been loaned to several clubs before he joined Championships side Cardiff City in 2022.
He is said to be the masked Dide but it is yet to be verified. Some of the attributes pointed out by the fans include his wrist tattoo which is similar to the one of Dide in the Thriller video.
Another body mark that has been identified is one of his dreadlocks that dangled out on his neck in the video.
It is pertinent to note Dide’s true identity is yet to be unraveled. All guesses are mere assumptions yet to be verified.
Do you think Sheji Ojo is the voice behind the masked Premier League singer, Dide?
