The New England Revolution have made a major move in acquiring forward Luca Langoni from Argentine powerhouse Boca Juniors.
The club announced the signing on Friday, August 2, revealing that Langoni will be under contract through 2027 with an option for 2028.
The 22-year-old Langoni was signed via the Under-22 Initiative and he is reported to have been acquired for around $7 million, making him New England’s new club-record signing.
The deal was finalized on August 2, 2024, pending the receipt of his P-1 Visa and International Transfer Certificate (ITC).
Langoni had a successful early career with Boca Juniors, helping the club win the 2022 Liga Profesional title and 2023 Supercopa trophy.
During his time with Boca Juniors from 2022-2024, Langoni made 69 senior appearances, scoring 11 goals and providing four assists.
The versatile and technically skilled winger is expected to make an impact in MLS with his experience and talent.
His arrival will mark a significant move for the New England Revolution as they look to strengthen their squad for the new season and acquire future success.

Luca Langoni is an Argentine professional footballer who plays as a forward for Major League Soccer club New England Revolution.
His football career
The 22-year-old Langoni, who hails from Buenos Aires, has made a club-record transfer to MLS after starting his career with the renowned Argentinian team Boca Juniors.
During his time with the Blue and Gold, Langoni contributed to their victories in the 2022 Liga Profesional and 2023 Supercopa.
Furthermore, the winger who is known for his versatility and technical skills, played in 69 matches for Boca Juniors from 2022 to 2024, scoring 11 goals and providing four assists.
In the current 2024 Liga Profesional season, Langoni has appeared in three league matches and six cup games, including four appearances in the Copa Sudamericana.
In addition, the 22-year-old also played three times in the Copa Libertadores for Boca in 2023.
On August 2, 2024, the New England Revolution announced the signing of Langoni from Boca Juniors for a club-record fee.

The New England team will continue their participation in the Leagues Cup 2024 tournament by playing their last group stage match against Nashville SC on Tuesday, August 6.
