Mykhailo Mudryk shared an Instagram photo of himself sporting an Arsenal jersey, seemingly confirming his decision to join the club.
The 22-year-old has publicly declared his desire to join the North London team.
Arsenal’s first two offers, though, were rejected because Shakhtar reportedly wants £88 million for his talents.
While Chelsea is also in the running, the Gunners have not yet made a third bid.
Despite the transfer war between the two London powerhouses, Mudryk is now on Shakhtar’s winter midseason tour in Turkey.
But he’s still thinking about Arsenal.
In recent weeks, he has given several indications and has revealed that he has been watching games on his Instagram story.
On New Year’s Day, Mikel Arteta received accolades from Mudryk after Arsenal’s victory at Brighton.
However, the youngster may have dropped his biggest hint.
This is due to the fact that he posted a photo of his cat on his account along with the remark “my biggest cheerleader.”
Mudryk, however, was seen on the television in the backdrop sporting Arsenal’s home shirt.
It remains to be seen if he will appear in the upcoming weeks sporting the fabled red and white.
However, it is obvious that Mudryk is making every effort to achieve his goal of moving to the Emirates.
Mykhailo Mudryk
Mykhailo Petrovych Mudryk, a professional football player for both the Ukraine national team and Ukrainian Premier League club Shakhtar Donetsk, was born on January 5, 2001. He plays as a winger.
In 2010, Mudryk began participating in football at Metalist Kharkiv. The Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk Academy was his next stop.
In 2016, he relocated to the Shakhtar Donetsk academy.
He participated for Shakhtar Donetsk’s U21 team during the 2018–19 campaign. He was a member of the senior team in 2018.
When he was 17 years old, Paulo Fonseca gave him his senior debut against Olimpik Donetsk in a Ukrainian Cup game on October 31, 2018.
He spent the rest of the 2018–19 season on loan to Arsenal Kyiv of the Ukrainian Premier League, appearing in 10 games but recording no goals.
In the Ukrainian Premier League, he competed against Desna Chernihiv, Kolos Kovalivka, and Oleksandriya, helping his team win the championship in the 2019–20 campaign.
He signed a loan arrangement with Desna Chernihiv of the Ukrainian Premier League in the summer of 2020, and they advanced to the third qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League.
He played 10 games in the Ukrainian Premier League and one in the Ukrainian Cup during his four months with Chernihiv.
Mudryk returned to Shakhtar Donetsk on January 8, 2021, and participated in three Ukrainian Premier League games.
Mudryk Would Be A Great Fit At Arsenal
Having been speculated to be even closer to a deal for a player who has been likened to PSG’s Neymar, Arsenal and their transfer activity are poised to continue throughout the January transfer window.
Because of some amazing business they did during the summer, Arsenal is off to a strong start in the Premier League.
Arsenal added Gabriel Jesus, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Fabio Viera, kept William Saliba, and the list goes on during the course of the summer.
It seems that things will continue, as the Gunners intend to make a deal in January to bolster their roster.
Shakhtar Donetsk’s Mykhailo Mudryk appears to be moving closer to North London.
He even recently stated his admiration for the Gunners, saying “I think every guy dreams of playing in the Premier League… but Arsenal is a very good team, very good coach…” and even continued by saying he “can’t say no” if given the chance to join Arsenal.
Let’s just say that when it comes to the North London club, he hasn’t been shy.
It is clear why Arsenal wants this trade and is working to close it as quickly as possible given Mykhailo Mudryk’s season-long statistics.
The 21-year-old has contributed to 10 goals and 8 assists in all league contests, including 3 goals and 2 assists in the Champions League.
This guy gives even more depth to their rotation of wings, which already includes Gabriel Martinelli, Bukayo Saka, Marquihnos, and Reiss Nelson.
