Recall we reported that Brighton recently accepted a British record £115million bid from Chelsea as Caicedo completed his dream move to the Stamford Bridge side.

The player was, however, wanted by Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool, who already agreed a £111m fee only for him to turn them down.

Moises Caicedo, 21, has a girlfriend named Paola Salazar, who is soon to be cheering him on at Stamford Bridge.

Futballnews understands that Caicedo and Paola have been together for five years as they started dating when they were just teens.

The former Brighton midfielder met Paola while he was playing for Independiente in his homeland of Ecuador.

Paola Salazar reportedly works as a model and has been crowned the queen of the Carnival of the Americans in the province of Los Rios.

Moises Caicedo likes to keep his private life away from the media but she made an appearance on his Instagram page earlier this year.

Caicedo’s woman, Paola, celebrated her 22nd birthday by joining the Chelsea new star at a restaurant in London.

From the images shared on this post, we can see that the couple enjoyed a huge cake before they went shopping.

Moises Caicedo like a gentleman, also bought her a huge bunch of roses and posted a snap of when he was kissing her on the cheek.

The new kid on Chelsea’s block is the youngest of ten siblings and often visits his hometown of Santo Domingo, where he always plays football with the locals.

The star hails from a poor family but often returns while funding new facilities in the area.

Moisés Isaac Caicedo Corozo is an Ecuadorian footballer who was born on November 2nd, 2001 and plays as a defensive midfielder for Chelsea and the Ecuador national team.

Caicedo was born in Santo Domingo, the youngest of ten siblings, and he normally plays football on the scrubland pitches of his hometown, the Mujer Trabajadora neighbourhood, where goals were marked out by piles of stones.

When he was a child, he met local football coach Iván Guerra, who helped him and his family by paying for his football boots, travel and food.

Moises Caicedo was invited to play his first organised football at the Mujer Trabajadora soccer school by Guerra, and he played there between the ages of five and twelve.

The team he joined, often played in games across the Santo Domingo Canton, and Caicedo earned a call-up to a regional select XI.

Caicedo was initially a forward, and he later developed into a midfielder, and joined local side Colorados Jaipadida at the age of thirteen, an affiliate of professional club ESPOLI.

From thereon, it has been growth for the Ecuadorian and he has moved on to join one of the biggest clubs in England – Chelsea.

Moises Caicedo joined Chelsea on 14 August 2023, signing an eight-year contract, with the option of a one-year extension.

Recall we reported that the fee was officially undisclosed, it was reported to be worth an initial £100 million, plus £15 million in performance related add-ons.
