The agent of Mohammed Kudus,Jen Mendelewitsch, revealed that the former Ajax midfielder had decided to join Chelsea, but the West London club offered a ridiculous fee to Ajax.

Mohammed Kudus’s agent revealed in his latest interview that Chelsea offered £17 million to Ajax but failed to improve the offer.

She said, “We reached an agreement with Chelsea; we agreed to the contract with Chelsea, but the deal was not done.”

“He talked with the coach, but in the end, it didn’t happen because Chelsea made a ridiculous offer to Ajax.

“There was no counter offer. Chelsea did this with lots of players this summer, making very low offers to clubs, knowing that they would not be accepted.”

“The truth is that they were completely focused on the transfer of Caicedo, which took up all their energy.”

Her interview suggested Chelsea was not fully interested in signing the midfielder, and Kudus was considered a second choice compared to other transfer targets.

Mohammed Kudus was one of the most sought-after players in the transfer window due to his incredible form last season.

The midfielder scored 11 goals and created four assists for the struggling Ajax in the Eredivisie last season.

Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester United, and Paris Saint-Germain were all interested in signing the player.

Paris Saint-Germain, who were initially interested in signing the player, decided against the move at the end of the transfer window.

However, the Ghanaian moved to West Ham United for a fee of £38 million at the end of August 2023 on a five-year contract.
