Mikel Arteta and Arsenal have started well in the Premier League this season with four wins from four matches, and they currently sit on top of the table. There has been an interesting discussion going on among fans who think they are in for the title this season.

The vibes of the Invincibles are already around and a lot of people are linking the current Arsenal team with the 2004/05 team of Arsene Wenger.

There are 38 matches in the Premier League and Arsenal have only won four. The league is a marathon with tougher tests coming in for the Gunners.

Their first four matches have been easy, with only Crystal Palace and Fulham forcing Ramsdale into real saves. The Arsenal side will face Manchester United on September 4, 2022.

The Gunners still have Manchester City, Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham, and Newcastle to play. If they can succeed in winning those matches, they can be called title contenders.

Arsenal are well known for blowing up opportunities. In the 2015/16 season, when Leicester won the league, the London side were tipped to win the league but sloppy performances at the end of the season ended their chances of winning it.

Last season, Arsenal won 11 matches on a row and they were looking like the team to qualify for the Champions League, it then slip away from their face as they settle for Europa League after losing to both Tottenham and Newcastle

At this time last season, Chelsea were on top of the table, but when fatigue and injuries set in for their important players, the Blues struggled to make Champions League football.

How has Arsenal Changed Under Mikel Arteta

Arteta has instilled a winning mentality in his players. The new signings have made a positive impact on the team. They looked hungry for more wins.

Since Mikel Arteta has removed all the deadwood from his squad, they now seem to be a threat to every team they play against. Arsenal now look like a team that can beat any team no matter the team’s setup.

Another thing that changed for Arsenal was its defense. Saliba and Gabriel seem to be a perfect duo that will stop teams from scoring goals. Arsenal lacked in that area a long time ago.

Arteta has also brought together the squad. He is making sure that everyone in the squad is happy and wants to play for him. In addition, he has been disciplined off the field for punishing players who come late to the training ground.

Liverpool and Manchester City are still the real title contenders this season, with Arsenal and Chelsea being title pretenders.

Arsenal fans should not get carried away with their team’s perfect record this season, because it is not likely to last when Arsenal’s key players start suffering from injuries.
