Mikel Arteta has admitted that Arsenal Football Club are now in contention to win the Premier League title at the end of the season after defeating Chelsea by a goal to nil.

Arteta has always ignored the claim that Arsenal is in the title race but has begun to embrace its chances of winning it after a convincing victory against Chelsea in the London Derby.

Arsenal responded to Manchester City’s late win against Fulham like champions by producing a good performance and dominating their biggest rival in the Premier League.

Injury-hit Chelsea were totally outclassed and are now 13 points behind Arsenal. Arteta, who took charge of his 150th game at Stamford Bridge, saw how Arsenal players had matured over the years.

Arsenal were not really bothered at the back and could have scored more goals against Chelsea. Gabriel Jesus missed chances both in the first half and the second half.

In addition, Mikel Arteta prepared the team to come to Stamford Bridge to win the match, and he was very happy that it was successful.

Arteta claimed he learned his lesson after they failed to beat Manchester United at Old Trafford. Manchester United is the only team that has beaten Arsenal this season.

Arteta also defended Bukayo Saka after Chelsea’s manager accused him of diving against the London side.

Potter claimed that Arsenal’s superiority came after Arteta was given a lot of time and total control of the team by the Arsenal board since he was appointed in December 2019. This has been the best Arsenal team in the last 16 years.

The Arsenal board had shown support for the manager in terms of funds. Arteta has been tipped to bring Arsenal back to its glory days, and he is already achieving his target.

Arsenal now looks solid at the back and has been creative in terms of scoring goals. Arteta had done a nice job with the squad, and managers who were deemed long-term managers had lost their jobs.

The Gunners have played 13 matches and won 11, drew one, and lost one. Chelsea, on the other hand, are in the 7th position, and their present form is nothing to write home about.

Chelsea is far away from the Champions League spot by five points, and they play Newcastle next in the Premier League, which will surely be a tough one for them.

The body language of the Chelsea players showed they are lost and don’t really understand Potter’s style of play.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang failed to get any ball from the wings, and Kai Havertz, who played as a right winger, was not effective enough to put pressure on Arsenal’s defense.

Chelsea owner Todd Boehly needs to invest in the January transfer window. The squad presently lacks depth.
