Crystal Palace attacker Michael Olise trolled his former club, Reading, calling them a small football club in the Championship.
This was revealed in a leaked message between the player and an unknown female friend on Instagram.
The Instagram screenshot was of a conversation back in 2021 while he was still playing for Reading. In the chat, the football star told the female that his tenure as a Reading player was almost over.
He said he was onto bigger teams before he referred to Reading Football Club as a “small championship side”, a revelation that left Reading fans unhappy.
Michael Olise had reacted to the surfaced chat on his Instagram page, saying, “It is amazing what people can do with technology nowadays.”
However, there is no confirmation whether the conversations were originally intended, given that it is very easy to manipulate chats.
The Crystal Palace attacker is currently a transfer target for Premier League side Manchester United. The Red Devils are looking to make him their first signing in the forthcoming summer transfer window.
