Manchester United fired Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and they made his assistant Michael Carrick the acting manager. However, the club still needs to find a much better coach and Pochettino is their target.
With only a few top talent footballer managers left unemployed, the current PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino will leave Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the season to take over the coaching job at Manchester United at the end of the season.
The club wanted Pochettino before he left Tottenham to take a job at PSG, and now that there is a vacant slot at Man United, they are willing to wait until Pochettino resigns at PSG to come over to the Premier League to coach Cristiano Ronaldo and co at Old Trafford.
Micheal Carrick after being appointed
“I’m prepared to do it for however long it takes, whether it’s one game, two games,” Carrick told a news conference on Monday. “Right now I’m not sure, but I’m not thinking about that, it’s about Villarreal.
“I found out yesterday morning at the training ground. I didn’t know anything before that point. I arrived and spoke to Ed.
“It was a bit rushed to then organise training and the day’s work. Everyone adapted, reacted and dealt with it in a real classy manner.”
