Mateo Kovacic ran off the pitch in his tiny pants as he left former Manchester United player perplexed at his gesture.
Mateo Kovacic of Chelsea sprinted off the field at Stamford Bridge wearing nothing but his little pants, drawing the ire of goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel.
The 1-1 tie against Manchester United on Saturday gave viewers significantly more of the Croatian than they anticipated.
After just 35 minutes, Graham Potter shuffled his pack, and the 28-year-old midfielder was the first player to leave the bench.
Kovacic lost both his shirt and shorts, so after full time, cameras recorded him rushing across the field with just his tiny Y-fronts.
The midfielder meandered towards the tunnel without being alarmed after giving out his shorts and shirt to Chelsea’s fans.
Schmeichel, a former Manchester United player, was unable to believe what he was seeing, as he stood frozen while the midfielder made his way down the tunnel.
The legendary shot-stopper was seen glancing at Kovacic from top to bottom before giving him another look while giggling.
