Mason Mount and his associates have reportedly arrived at Manchester United after a £60million fee was agreed with Chelsea.
Chelsea turned down several bids from Manchester United this summer, but a fee was agreed upon in the fifth attempt.
The Chelsea academy product and few members of his entourage were spotted arriving at the facility in a Mercedes early on Monday, entering through the back gate.
Chelsea and Man United reached an agreement of £55m followed by £5m in add-ons after several weeks of negotiations and rejected bids.
The England international appears at the right time for Ten Hag and Co, as they begin their pre-season training with a friendly against rivals Leeds United next week.
Mason Mount could make his debut for United after a bad season with Chelsea where he struggled for both form and fitness.
Mount featured in just 35 appearances in all competitions for Chelsea, bagging three goals and giving six assists as the Blues fell short of expectations.
That is to say the midfielder missed 13 games of the campaign as he struggled to overcome a pelvic issue that ruled him out of the end of the season.
Regardless of his poor season, United were keen to secure his signature as a replacement for Christian Eriksen in the side with his ability to play through the middle or even out wide.
Mount is believed to bring energy and a deadly right foot from dead ball situations as Ten Hag’s side look to improve in the Premier League next season.
Mason Mount spent his entire career at Chelsea, but went on loan to Derby in 2018-19 and Vitesse Arnheim in 2017-18, and won the Premier League, Champions League and Club World Cup with the Blues.
The Englishman would become the latest big names that have left Stamford Bridge this summer should the deal be finalized.
