Memphis Depay of Atletico Madrid went through an intense training stretch and seemed to be in a good shape ahead of the upcoming La Liga season with the Spanish club.

Recently, Memphis Depay took to his Instagram page to post a video of a serious training session held in Ghana, alongside Brandon Marshall, a former American football player.
The former Manchester United forward round up his vacation in his father’s country of origin Ghana, and takes the chance to carry out a set-up that will enable him to appear excellent at the pre-season tour with Atletico Madrid.
The 29-year-old Atletico Madrid player shared some of the footage on his social media page in which he was seen on a football field working with great enthusiasm alongside some of his friends.
The Dutch International football player was seen dribbling, hitting the ball, and performing other routines during the training session.
The Rojiblanco club has lost their previous six games since the striker did not play for the Netherlands during the most recent national team break owing to a muscle ailment. He has been called up to begin training with Atletico Madrid this coming Friday, 7th of July, 2023.
In reality, he has missed 11 of Atletico’s 12 games since the March international break and played only 12 minutes against Valladolid.
The rojiblanco is in good shape and ready to start contributing to Atletico’s success immediately, even though he didn’t perform up to the club’s expectations last season.
In eight league games, the Dutchman scored four goals, or once every 67 minutes on average.
For this reason, he had already established himself as a starter in the eleven before his March injury.
Memphis had an injury-plagued and mostly unnoticed season in 2022/23, so he’s eager to get out to a fast start in the 2023/24 season to make up for lost ground and earn the league’s Most Improved Player award.
Memphis Depay’s contract with Atletico Madrid
During the January transfer window, Memphis Depay completed a switch of 2.6 million pounds from FC Barcelona and join Atletico Madrid for two and a half years.
The former Manchester United reportedly earns 96.923 per week including an annual income of 5,040,000 per year.

Due to injury, the Netherlands forward represented the Spanish outfit in eight matches, scoring four goals and recording one yellow card.
What’s next for Memphis Depay
The former Lyon striker will join his fellow teammates for the pre-season in preparation for the 2023/2024 Spanish La Liga season.
In addition, during their preseason tour, Atleti will play Manchester City and a joint K-League XI in South Korea. They will also play Real Sociedad and Sevilla in Mexico and the United States.
