Embattled Manchester United winger Mason Greenwood is close to leaving Manchester United this summer.

The 22-year-old is reportedly preparing for life away from Old Trafford after his successful loan spell with Getafe in the Spanish top-flight.

Futballnews understands Manchester United are ready to part with Greenwood this summer. Sources close to the Old Trafford club reveal the club’s new co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his minions have decided on a permanent exit solution for Greenwood.

In anticipation of his imminent exit from the Old Trafford club, Greenwood reportedly put up his £2million-worth Cheshire mansion for sale.

With rumours of his imminent exit from United this summer, it was yet unclear where the youngster will pitch his tent come next season. Now, according to a report by Gazzetta, shared by Transfer Live, Greenwood has given the Greenlight that he is ready for a move to Juventus.

The Serie A giants have been on the trail of the player long before he was loaned to Getafe. United originally wanted to reintegrate Greenwood into the squad but were forced to make a U-turn following incessant protests.

Juventus led the list of clubs who were interested in the player before United, under the headship of former CEO Richard Arnold, decided to loan the player to Getafe.

Now back from Getafe and ready for a new chapter to continue his heroics on the field, the Old Ladies have come calling. And this time, they could close a deal.

Manchester United want £40m for the 22-year-old. And it is yet to be determined whether the Old Ladies will fork out the amount for the player. Meanwhile, it is understood Greenwood could go on another loan deal this summer if suitors don’t meet United’s price tag.

With just a year remaining on his contract, the Red Devils would be forced to trigger the one-year extension on the player’s contract to avoid losing him on a free transfer next summer.
