Martin Odegaard is a fast-rising footballer with a promising career that has constantly made the spotlights.
After a blighted spell with Real Madrid that saw him spend four seasons on loan deals to different clubs, Odegaard is now settled for a big career at Arsenal.
Since joining the club as a loanee from Real Madrid in 2021, the Norwegian midfield sensation has risen through the ranks at Emirates. He is key to Mikel Arteta’s squad plan and has polished his game enough to win the club’s captain armband.
His first feel of a silverware at Arsenal came after the club saw off Manchester City in the shootouts at Wembley to win 2023 Community Shield. Despite his meteoric rise in the last year two years, Odegaard is still a young player with an almost virgin hall of few individual honors and awards
He has won the following major individual awards:
- Norwegian Footballer of the Year: 2019
- Arsenal Player of the Season: 2022-23
- London Football Awards Player of the Year: 2023
Ødegaard was also nominated for the Premier League Player of the Season, Premier League Young Player of the Season and the FWA Footballer of the Year in 2022-23.
He is still only 23 years old, so he has the potential to win many more individual awards in the future.
