Marshall Islands, a tiny Oceanian nation, have finally assembled a football team as they become the last country in the world to do so.
The Marshall Islands is a small nation with a population of about 60,000 people and is located in the Pacific Ocean.
They have managed to finally put a team together and they are dreaming of joining other football nations at FIFA.
The country has also launched a recruitment drive seeking for eligible men and women to join their national team.

Marshall Islands are set to launch men’s and women’s National Soccer Leagues as well.

US took control from Japan in 1944 and between 1947 and 1994 they used the Marshall Islands for nuclear testing.
The Marshall Islands also suffered hydrogen bomb blast after the US dropped it on them in 1954.
Well, that particular blast was three times bigger than expected and it subsequently wiped out three portions of the Island.

The United States also in the year 1969 began the process of decontaminating the Islands of all the bombs tested there.
The Marshall Islands and its defense is still being controlled by the US despite the Islander gaining their formal independence in 1982.
The Marshall Islands is also faced with the latest threat of Global Warming and scientists have calculated that if the average temperature rises by more than 1.5 degrees, some of the islands will become uninhabitable due to rising sea levels.
However, this said event will not happen until 2030 and they believe that this new football team establishment will take their plight to the world.

Marshall Islands have banned commercial shark fishing in their country, however, they have several species of sharks battling extinction surviving there.
