Marcus Rashford is enjoying his most prolific season as the England star forward has netted 24 times already this season for Manchester United which is a career-high. He has scored five goals and assisted two in six appearances in the just concluded Carabao Cup tournament.

Initially, the 25-year-old England forward was considered unfit to start in Sunday’s Carabao Cup final clash against Newcastle United, following a minor injury scare. Even United boss, Erik ten Hag say he wasn’t sure if Rashford would be available ahead of the game.

However, his excellent performance in Sunday’s final match has helped Manchester United end their six years trophy drought with a hard-fought Carabao Cup Final 2-0 triumph over Newcastle United.

Throughout Rashford’s 341 games for the Red Devils, he has obtained an impressive medal collection, including the FA Cup, the League Cup, the Community Shield, the Europa League as well as the Carabao cup.

The England star forward is currently on a level above everyone else and since the end of the Qatar World Cup, Rashford has been receiving plenty of praises from fans, and pundits, including his United teammates for his wonderful feat.

His scintillating form has incited Sky Sports pundit Boyd to claim that presently there isn’t a better player in world football than the 25-year-old Manchester United number 10.

Speaking ahead of the Carabao final on Sky Sports, Boyd said: You could see there were talented footballers at the club that it wasn’t going to happen for them and I think Marcus Rashford was potentially going to fall into that trap”

”But I tell you what, he’s arguably the best player in the world at this moment in time. He’s been unstoppable.”

Meanwhile, former Liverpool star Jamie Carragher recently claimed Rashford is outperforming Manchester City’s, Erling Haaland.

The ex-Liverpool defender noted: “Step aside Erling Haaland. Marcus Rashford is currently producing performances of a complete Premier League striker.”

No player has scored more goals since the resumption of domestic football after the World Cup than Rashford with 16 goals in 18 matches.

And his sensational goals have seen Manchester United reach the next round of the Europa League, evicting Barcelona, and threatening the top two in the Premier League title race as they currently occupy the third place.

The Red Devils have migrated off the rubbles and wreckage of recent years as they are the only team in the top five leagues in Europe to retain their spot in all major top competitions this season, thanks to Ten Hag’s outstanding leadership.

Manchester United have enjoyed an improved season under Erik ten Hag and the Carabao Cup they wrapped up against Newcastle United has established the former Ajax boss as the first manager at Old Trafford to win silverware since Jose Mourinho.
