He scored twice for England in their 3-0 victory over Wales, the first coming directly from a free-kick.

By doing so, he became the 2022 World Cup’s top scorer and scored the 100th goal for England in the tournament’s history.

His free kick was the first ever to be scored by a player in Qatar, and it also brought Manchester United players’ total goals scored in the tournament to an amazing total.

The striker had previously played from the bench in England’s first two matches, scoring after coming on as a substitute in the 6-2 triumph over Iran and also making an appearance after halftime in the dull goalless draw against the United States on Friday.

Rashford, the top scorer for England in the tournament with three goals, has now impressively scored once per 36 minutes that he has been on the field. With just seven shots on goal, the forward has an amazing shooting conversion percentage of 43%, with 86 percent of his attempts finding the target.

The striker is currently tied for the team lead in goals scored after dedicating his first goal against Wales to a friend who recently passed away from cancer.

He is seated next to Mbappe, who has scored three goals in France’s first two games, and PSV’s Gakpo, a target for Manchester United who has three goals in three appearances for the Netherlands.

Valencia, a striker for Fenerbahce and Ecuador, has scored three goals so far, but he cannot add to that total because his country has been eliminated.

Also, Bruno Fernandes, a teammate of Marcus Rashford’s from Manchester United, who scored twice in Portugal’s two-goal triumph over Uruguay on Monday has been having a blast in Qatar.

Marcus Rashford equals Sir Bobby Charlton’s record

Rashford has scored three goals so far at the World Cup, which is the most for England at a major tournament by a Manchester United player since 1966.

Since Bobby Charlton in the 1966 World Cup, Marcus Rashford became the first member of Manchester United to score three goals for England in a major tournament.

Rashford’s prolific scoring run is a sign of good things to come since Sir Bobby Charlton went on to win the trophy with England that year.

Since no player has scored more than three goals so far in the World Cup, Rashford has a chance to increase his total. He is also in the running for the Golden Boot.

On Sunday, England will play Senegal in the round of 16, vying for a spot in the quarterfinals.

After his performance against Wales, it will be difficult for Gareth Southgate to leave Rashford out of the starting lineup for this match.

He is a player in top form, leading the season scoring list for Manchester United, and representing England in Qatar.

Manchester United Players In World Cup

Marcus Rashford is not the only Manchester United player enjoying a massive form at the FIFA World Cup in Qatar, there are other stars.
