Manor Solomon, the Israeli International joined Fulham on a one-year loan deal in the summer of 2022 due to the Russian-Ukraine war which forced foreign players to withdraw their contracts with Ukrainian clubs until June 2023.

Ukraine’s Mykhailo Mudryk hit the headline when he made a move to Chelsea from Shakhtar Donetsk in January 2023 in a deal reportedly worth 89 million pounds.

However, many at the Ukrainian club believed that the attacking midfielder was better than the 22-year-old Chelsea star.

It was only when Manor Solomon, 23 made the move to Fulham that Mudryk got his fine form at Shakhtar.

Mudryk made a lesser appearance in the 2021/2022 campaign. He made only 19 appearances compared to Solomon who played 25 games.

Once Manor Solomon left Shakhtar, Mudryk played 18 games with the Ukrainian club before he switched to Chelsea, scoring an impressive 10 goals from the left wing.

Solomon, the Israeli star player, is still on the records of Shakhtar and would not have been allowed to depart the club if not for the football governing body FIFA permitting the club to do so following the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

To the fury of Ukraine clubs, FIFA allowed players contracted to Russian and Ukrainian clubs to go out on loan if they choose to do so, with London club Fulham benefitting from this rule.

Following his move to Fulham last summer, Solomon has been joined in London by his girlfriend Dana, and she is presently studying communication and political science in the city.

Since her arrival in London, she has earned more Instagram followers which have gone over 10 thousand.

On the other hand, Solomon has just a year left on his contract with Shakhtar Donetsk. He has been in fine form for Fulham this season scoring four goals in 10 Premier League appearances.

The Premier League club could push through and trigger his release clause to make him settle at Craven Cottage permanently.
