    It was a dramatic 90 minutes at Old Trafford as Manchester United took on Cypriot club Omonia Nicosia in the Europa League matchday four encounter.

    Nigeria international Francis Uzoho was on the spotlights after he made an astonishing 12 saves to deny the Red Devils many goal chances.

    Manchester United were the better side throughout the game as they dominated play and gave Omonia fire.

    The Red Devils pressed their visitors from first half and replicated the same in the second half as they searched for an opening goal.

    Omonia did little to threaten the United defense. David de Gea was unruffled in the game as Omonia failed to challenge and take a dare toward the Man United box.

    Saving the visitors was Francis Uzoho, who put himself on the line for Omonia to frustrate Manchester United’s attempt at goal.

    He also saved many thunderbolt strikes from outside the box as Manchester United intensified the pressure for a goal.

    Uzoho finally conceded a goal just at the stroke of stoppage time.

    Casemiro substitute, McTominay struck in the 93rd minute to hand Manchester United a win after that spirited performance by Francis Uzoho.

    Manchester United have won three consecutive Europa League matches after its opening defeat to Real Sociedad at Old Trafford.

    They are second in the table with 9 points, 3 points behind table-toppers, Real Sociedad.

    Francis Odinaka Uzoho, born on 28 October 1999, is a 23-year-old Nigeria international who plays as a goalkeeper for the Cypriot club Omonia Nicosia.

    Uzoho started his football career in 2013, playing for the Aspire Academy.

    He also played for the Deportivo La Coruna youth in 2017 after three years with the aspire Academy.

    Francis Uzoho started his professional senior club career first with Deportivo B in 2017.

    After just a year with Derportivo B, making 26 appearances, he joined the senior team of the club between 2017 to 2020 with just two appearances for the club.

    During his spell with the Derportivo La Coruna, he was loaned to three different clubs – Elche, Anorthosis, and Omonia.

    Francis Uzoho’s next stop after Deportivo La Coruna spell was APOEL, where he made 19 appearances since joining the club in 2020.

    Francis Uzoho joined Omonia on a three-year contract as backup goalkeeper to Fabiano in 2021.

    Since making his debut for the Nigeria national team in 2017, Francis Uzoho has made 18 appearances for the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
